Tim
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO as the youngest of a five child family line up. I was exposed
to music from day one. My mother, being a piano teacher by trade, initiated a very close and
continuous relationship with music. Interestingly enough, I had little ambition to take up an
instrument until the age of 15. By that time my oldest sister was involved in local musical theater
productions, and my oldest brother was playing the guitar. I soon gravitated towards the electric
bass, learned a few of the fundamentals, fell in love with it, and hence my journey began. Shortly
thereafter, I became involved in a variety of musical collaborations, that have led me through what
continues to be highly challenging yet rewarding musical career.

Over the span of this career, I have developed a variety of other interests. One in particular has
been a growing appreciation for the musical and dance performance arts of other cultures, like India,
the Middle East, Latin America and North Africa. I feel that my connection with Farshid etniKo
offers me a refreshing environment where my involvement leads to a deeper understanding and a
greater appreciation of these highly refined arts.

Assuming the bassist role in this group and learning to play music within the band's format has been
an exciting challenge for me. I stand humbly committed to do whatever I can to rise to the occasion
and improve the groove.
